Day of Community Action: Saturday, November 15th
We marched in No Kings, now we organize in our neighborhoods.
We are fighting for a NYC that is safe and free. And we’re celebrating the power of New Yorkers to stand up for our communities and unite against Trump and his bullies.
On November 15th, gather with your neighbors for a community day of action and solidarity. Together we will take the streets, talk to our neighbors, and make it clear from every borough to every street that masked agents are not welcome here!
Event Ideas
-
Organize a meet up spot in your neighborhood with flyers, stickers, and posters to share at the subway station, with local businesses, and door to door.
These materials can include how to plug into ICE rapid response or join the city-wide Hands Off NYC movement.
-
Bring together musicians to play a mini outdoor concert, invite others to join, share flyers and information to help get the community united.
-
Organize a play date at your playground with other families with young kids! Bring school and family-specific materials to share and create connections we need to help protect students and families.
-
When Trump cut SNAP and other social services, he made existing food insecurity catastrophic. Work with NYC organizations to engage community members who are facing food insecurity.
Please keep in mind that all Hands Off events are committed non-violent resistance. We stay rooted in joyous defiance and love for our neighbors and our communities.
