Our community weekends of action empower individuals to be present in their neighborhoods, meet each other, and share resources. We have hosted two citywide actions so far, comprising over 180 events!
Hands Off NYC will work with you to provide resources, connect to other organizers, promote your events, and support you along the way.
From tabling at the park to hosting a training, business canvassing to comic book making, community weekends are designed for you to make it your own.

recurring partner events
every monday - multifaith mondays
Hosted by our faith partners. See the full list here.
Since March 3, 2025, the Multifaith Monday vigils have served as a sacred space for collective lament, prophetic resistance, and multifaith community-building in a time of deep division and threat to democratic values.
Every Monday, 5:30 – 6:00 pm
Columbus Circle, 59th Street and Central Park West.
Gather at the USS Maine statue on the southwest corner of Central Park.
As M. Gessen teaches, “Autocratic power requires the degradation of moral authority.” By participating in Multifaith Mondays, we strengthen the moral authority of democratic voices and values. RSVP here.
every TUESDAY - metropolitan detention center vigil
Hosted by Good Shepherd Lutheran church and Indivisible Brooklyn.
Join us in standing up for our neighbors, held at the notorious prison in our own back yard. RSVP here.
For years, the Metropolitan Detention Center has had a reputation for inhumane conditions.
Now, ICE is using the Metropolitan Detention Center to house our immigrant neighbors -- mothers, fathers, sons and daughters -- who have been taken from their homes, schools, and workplaces and held in detention.
Our fellow organizers at Indivisible Brooklyn and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bay Ridge are holding a weekly vigil outside the MDC to call for the release of ICE detainees, and to stand against the inhumane treatment of our neighbors.
Supporters are invited to bring signs, to sing or play music, and to solemnly bear witness in solidarity.
Corner of 3rd Avenue and 29th Street
Every Tuesday at 6:00 - 7:00pm.
every thursday - silent vigil at 26 federal plaza
Hosted by Rise and Resist
Every Thursday we hold a silent vigil for those who have been abducted by I.C.E.
We will be out in front of the Federal Worker's entrance at 26 Federal Plaza which houses many DHS and ICE offices as well as immigration courts.
We have signs calling out ICE and ICE Agents for abducting immigrants.
EVERY THURSDAY, 12-1 PM
26 Federal Plaza (Worth St.), NYC
