I commit to getting ready. If the Trump administration and its billionaire backers attempt to sabotage the 2026 midterm elections anywhere in the country, I will be ready to take action to fight back, alongside thousands of others in NYC and nationwide. I pledge to:
Take Action:
I will be ready to take action and use my constitutional right to speak out if the elections are sabotaged, and before. I will join sustained nonviolent protests, boycotts, and other collective actions when I am called on.
Spread the Word:
I will help inform New Yorkers of the threats to the elections and what they can do to defend them. I will ensure that people are registered to vote and have a plan to vote early. I will help get people signed up for trainings.
Get Trained:
I will attend an election sabotage response, non-violent direct action, or ambassador training. I will use what I learn at these trainings to help educate my community.
Hands Off NYC is a home for anyone who knows that protecting our neighbors and defending democracy takes all of us. Whether it’s helping to spread the word in parks, canvasses, and community events or it’s getting trained, showing up in the streets, and taking direct action, there’s something for everyone.

We offer a variety of trainings from Know Your Rights & ICE Response to Election Protection and Nonviolent Direct Action, each designed to give you the skills you need to take action, protect our neighbors, and ensure every vote counts, while connecting you with others who feel the same way.

We provide free resources such as whistles, ICE hotline stickers, election protection flyers, and more. These help communities across NYC get the word out, educate New Yorkers about what the Trump administration and its billionaire backers are doing to dismantle democracy and attack our communities, and share what everyone can do to help fight back.

We organize canvasses to talk to the employees and employers of small businesses, so that they know what to do if ICE shows up in their neighborhood.

We organize massive protests (e.g., No Kings) to stand in solidarity and respond to the increasing authoritarian attacks. When we see ICE harming our neighbors, election results denied or voting rights stripped, or yet more attacks on our communities and our freedoms–here in NYC or in cities around the country–we prepare our community to respond.

We foster neighborhood groups that build community, provide support, and fight back together. The best way to get involved in a neighborhood group is to join one of our trainings or events.
